Air India has received its 20th Dreamliner from US manufacturer Boeing. The recent delivery is being considered a milestone as result of “successful partnership”.
The 20th 787 Dreamliner was made from the final assembly facility of Boeing in North Charleston in the state of South Carolina.
Air India has ordered twenty seven 787 Dreamliners in total, with seven more scheduled to be delivered.
“With this airplane we are building on the success of our other 787s, which are providing an exceptional experience to our passengers while allowing us to expand our network both within India and around the world,” Air India Chairman and Managing Director Rohit Nandan said in his statement.
The flag carrier joined the leading global airline network last year, reflecting the strong network growth of the Indian aviation market.
Right now, Air India serves more than 60 domestic and 37 international destinations.
