Photos: HondaJet All Set To Compete With Cessna and Embraer

Honda is a company, which is mostly known for its award-winning line of automobiles, motorcycles, and home improvement equipment. Now, the company is entering into some very unfamiliar territory — private jets.

After almost 30 years of development work, the HondaJet marks the company’s entry into the $23 billion-a-year general aviation industry. It will be competing against established brands in light jet segment like: Embraer’s Phenom 100 and Cessna’s Citation Mustang.

According to the AP’s Yuri Kageyama, Honda already has 100 orders for the jet, which are mainly from the US and Europe. Deliveries are set to begin later this year.
