Lockheed Martin F-35 and F-22 Had Their First Joint Training Missions

Photos part of this post, tell a story of a vision what US Air Force generals must have thought for decades. The F-22 and the F-35, two fifth generation fighters flew side-by-side earlier this month. The sorties were to practice offensive counter air, defensive counter air and interdiction missions together over Florida out of Eglin Air Force Base.

It was the first time when the F-35 and F-22 flew operational training mission together and marked history.

The development process of both of these fighters have been challenging right from ideation to completion. The USAF is the only air force in the world which has got two hi-tech fighter jets of 5th generation with stealth capability while Russia and China are still working to mature their prototypes.
