The two pilots on a twin-seater training fighter jet, the K-8, survived a deadly crash in the country’s northwest today morning.
“Pakistan Air Force reports that a PAF aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed in Shah Mansoor town near Swabi. Fortunately, the pilot and co-pilot were not hurt in the aeronautical mishap” as per sources.
Rescue teams were on time and have moved the injured pilots to Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Swabi.
No loss of civilian life or property was reported on the ground.
The K-8 is a Chinese built jet aircraft, which is used in training. Such planes are mostly stationed in PAF Academy Risalpur, where cadets are trained.
