An F-16 fighter jet of Royal Bahraini Air Force crashed near the Saudi-Yemeni border, the Saudi Press Agency reported on 30 December 2015.
As per report, the pilot ejected after his aircraft met a technical failure over the southern Saudi province of Jizan.
Bahrain has been providing F-16s to the Arab coalition that is trying to reinstate Yemen’s ousted president since March 2015. All the F-16s contributed by coalition countries believe to be flying out of King Fahd Air Base near the Saudi city of Taif.
It was the the third jet the Arab coalition has lost since it began its air operation over Yemen in March 2015.
